        The Monarchs offer a variety of basketball programs for children and youth through its Development programming. The programs are open to all players from beginner to advanced, for ages 4 – 18. and are suited for a range of skill levels, and interest.

        HoopDay Tournament

        When: Sunday March 2nd, 2014

        all MMBA Fall/Winter participants
        Cost: 
        FREE for all MMBA participants

        Novice (8/9 year olds): 9am-11am
        Atom (10/11 year olds): 11am-2pm
        Bantam (12/13 year olds): 2pm-5pm

        Fall House League information

        Sessions for ages 6 to 13 run 1.5 hours per week. The time slot gets divided into two 45 minutes.The first being a practice (drills & skills, development, techniques, etc.).
        The second being games with their teams.

        Sessions for ages 14 to 18 run 2 hours per week. The time slot gets divided into two hours.The first being a practice (drills & skills, development, techniques, etc.).The second being games with their teams.

        Referees: All sessions for ages 10 & up will have referee's hired for all of their games. Under 10 age sessions have the coaches referee modified games.

        Development Leagues Description

        Recreational Leagues are intended for the beginner to mid range player. They consist of 30 to 40 minutes of instruction & drills then supervised scrimmages. There will be two HOOP DAY tournaments during the year one at Christmas and one at the end of the sessions. 

        Competitive Leagues are "King's Court Leagues" intended for the intermediate to advanced competitive player. The season opens with 4 weeks of mandatory drills and assessment after which players are assigned teams and a 12 week season commences complete with playoffs.   

        ALL games in both sessions will be refereed and stats posted on the Website weekly!!
