What is the Mississauga Minor
Basketball Association (MMBA)?
The
Mississauga Minor Basketball Association is a non-profit basketball
organization created in 1985. Our organization services children and teens
throughout the Mississauga, and surrounding area.

What age groups do the MMBA
coach?
The MMBA specializes
in youth basketball programs for minor’s ages 4-18 years of age.

How do I
register for City League, and Developmental Leagues?
Registration for our development
leagues, as well as our city league can be completed online by selecting our ‘Register’
drop down menu located closer to the top of this page. If you are a new registrant,
you will need to select the sign up option in order to create an account, then follow the instructions.

Drop by our office located on the 3rd
floor, inside Hershey Sportzone during
regular business hours to register in person with a representative.

Rep
Registration 2015?
Pre-registration is not necessary
to participate in our rep tryouts. Tryouts for rep teams will begin September
11th 2015, the final schedule will be posted no later than August 15th
2015. Cross reference the Rep Tryout Schedule, identify the date and time of
the try out based on your child’s age, and register on site. The tryout
consists of two sessions over the course of two separate days. A $25.00 fee will
apply in order to participate in the tryout, this fee covers participation
costs for both tryout days. Teams will be chosen by the end of the second
tryout date.

When are the games and practices?
All game
and practice schedules will be released prior to the start date of your
selected program. All exemption dates will also be included in the program
schedule (i.e. holidays, school exception dates).
7.
Where are the practices and games?
The MMBA utilizes different facilities throughout
the Mississauga area, practice & game locations may vary. Parents will be advised of where all programs
are located once the MMBA has confirmed permits by the Mississauga School Board,
as well as other appropriate sport related locations (i.e. Hershey SportZone).
We cannot advise you until
that time. Thank you for your patience.
8.
Uniform
distribution?
Uniforms will be issued to all
City League & Development participants on the first day of practice.
Please ensure that you are attentive to uniform announcements, and the
participant is fitted to his/her appropriate size of uniform. If you are absent
the first day, or a late registrant, please contact the MMBA office to arrange
for uniform pick up.
*Please note that the MMBA does
not issue Monarch branded jerseys or shorts to participants in summer development
programs, Micro-Ballers (ages 4-5 development programs), and summer camps.
Players registered for the above programs will receive a Monarchs branded t-shirt.
9.
What to
bring with you to practice?
Please ensure that the participant
brings an appropriate pair of indoor running shoes and water to each and every
session. Also, the participant is required to attend every practice and game
with their full uniform and/or Monarch branded t-shirt.
