The Sheridan Centre parking lot transformed into mini basketball courts on August 27th, as the Mississauga Monarchs hosted Hoop-Fest. Representatives from the Monarchs – from the president to volunteers who are part of Monarchs programs – were present to host this event to raise awareness about the sport. Basketball is one of the cheapest sports to get involved in – all you need are shorts and shoes! Youth and children dropped by to play three-on-three with some of the Monarchs, learn some basketball skills and play challenges. It was a fun afternoon for both parents and children, as some parents suited up and joined in on the fun. Your Monarchs Summer Camp Counsellors will be hosting a Drop-In Day at Iona Catholic Secondary School, 2170 South Sheridan Way, Mississauga, ON.
Location: Iona Catholic Secondary School (2170 South Sheridan Way, Mississauga)
Ages: 10 - 17 (younger players must be accompanied and supervised by a parent)
Cost: $5.00 per player/session (CASH ONLY!) - register onsite!
Supervised by: Steve Rogers (Monarchs Program Director), Alex Lambevski (Camp Counselor) & Jen McDade (Summer Program Coordinator).

Expert instruction available at these drop-in sessions, if you are just looking to play with some friends that is an option as well. Looking for some extra summer gym time, this is where you can get 1 on 1 instruction with some great basketball instructors! April 1 – 3 – Mississauga Monarchs Basketball have 4 teams competing this weekend in the Ontario Provincial Basketball Championships. Novice #1 U10 Boys will be in London Ontario, and the Atom #1 U11 Boys team is competing in Niagara. Two of our teams will be here in Mississauga, Major Atom Boys #1, and Major Atom Boys #2.
